Infrared sauna therapy at Float U Humboldt takes place in our top-of-the-line Clearlight Sanctuary Retreat full-spectrum infrared sauna. This advanced system uses targeted infrared wavelengths to heat the body from the inside out, reaching temperatures up to 175°F while remaining comfortable and controlled. The sauna is ADA accessible, allowing more bodies to safely access heat-based recovery. This approach supports circulation, muscle recovery, detoxification, and nervous-system regulation without the intensity of traditional high-heat saunas.

You’ll have time to settle in before your session, enjoy a true 30 or 60 minute sauna experience (based on comfort and preference), and cool down afterward at your own pace. Our Clearlight Sanctuary Retreat sauna is ADA accessible, and a spa attendant will walk you through setup and safety guidelines at the start of your appointment. Sessions are designed to feel calm, controlled, and supportive; never overwhelming.
The Science Snapshot
Infrared saunas use light waves that penetrate tissue more deeply than ambient heat, gently raising core body temperature and increasing circulation. This process may support muscle relaxation, improved blood flow, and activation of the body’s natural detoxification pathways through sweat. Research suggests infrared heat can encourage a parasympathetic nervous-system response, helping the body shift out of chronic stress while supporting recovery and cardiovascular efficiency. Infrared sauna therapy is not a medical treatment, but it is widely used as a complementary wellness practice for recovery and regulation.
